Charlotte -
Green Rice Gallery, a fine arts gallery showcasing the works of over 100 talented local and national artists, will kick off the New Year with the Collaborative Green Rice Artists Show. The month-long show will debut with a reception on Friday, Jan. 2 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and run thru Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009.
Nearly all of the participating artists are local and each will have three to five new and original pieces of artwork displayed in the gallery.
“Without these talented artisans, Green Rice would not be what it is today. This is we are celebrating the hard work and raw talent that each artist brings to Green Rice to make it one of the most unique galleries in Charlotte,” said Carla Garrison, Green Rice Gallery owner. “This will be a wonderful opportunity for the public to view and purchase one-of-a-kind works of art that appeal to a wide variety of tastes and budgets.”
Green Rice Gallery, located in the heart of NoDa, Charlotte’s historic arts district, at 451 East 36th Street, is one of the few area galleries that cater to local artists.
